Designing in 3D space: VR and interactive collaboration

Design isn’t just about the end result. It’s about how we get there.

That’s why I actively use Gravity Sketch VR and collaborative tools like Miro discus and weight out the options into in real time. With Gravity Sketch, I can meet clients or collaborators inside a shared virtual space, sketching vehicles at full scale, reviewing forms from every angle, and iterating on the fly. It’s fast, intuitive, and bridges the gap between imagination and communication.

Miro complements this by acting as a living design wall. Where references, notes, feedback, and workflows come together visually. It’s like a remote studio, always up to date, always in sync, across screens.

Whether we’re sketching a cockpit layout or reviewing multiple design directions, VR collaboration helps clients and teams feel part of the process – not just on the receiving end of it.

Immersion = Clarity = Better Design Decisions.

how it worksEverything you need to know about VR

I use VR (with Meta Quest 3 and Gravity Sketch) to design in full 3D space—allowing me to sketch, sculpt, and review vehicle designs at real scale. It’s a faster, more intuitive way to explore proportions, form, and spatial intent.

Yes! I often invite clients or collaborators into Gravity Sketch sessions using Meta Quest or desktop mode. We can walk around the design, give feedback live, and make changes in real time—like standing in the same creative room.

VR gives you a true sense of scale, depth, and form—things that can get lost in sketches or flat screens. It makes the design feel real earlier, which leads to better decisions and fewer surprises later on.

Absolutely. I share everything through Miro boards, screen recordings, and video walkthroughs. You can follow the process step by step, give comments, and stay involved – no headset needed. But recommended.

The Meta Quest 3 offers great visual fidelity, portability, and is fully compatible with Gravity Sketch’s collaborative features. It’s a powerful tool for immersive design without needing a full VR studio setup. It also supports AR.
